iheart Academy, the training division of the non-profit organisation iheart, has recently received accreditation from the matrix Standard. The matrix Standard is the Department for Education’s international quality standard for the delivery of high-quality information, guidance and advice (IAG). Receiving this accreditation at the first time of asking demonstrates iheart’s provision of impactful, highly professional facilitator and teacher training in the iheart Resilience Curriculum, which helps young people uncover their innate resilience and mental wellbeing.
When it comes to the mental health crisis enveloping our society, there is a huge emphasis on putting out fires. iheart believes in preventing fires from starting in the first place. Delivered in schools and online, iheart’s transformative approach to supporting young people, teachers and parents is based on sharing the core belief that ‘we have everything we need inside us’ and is uniquely focussed on mental wellness, prevention and education.
Since January 2018, over 8000 young people have participated in the iheart programme and nearly 1000 educators / facilitators have trained to deliver iheart in 15 countries.
Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said: “This is a fantastic achievement for iheart and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. With their accreditation success, iheart is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”
Commenting on the award, Brian Rubenstein, CEO of iheart said: “We are delighted with this external accreditation and hope that it will continue to bring us closer to realising our vision of a world of young people knowing that they are whole, well and resilient.”
